Requests should be directed to the Privacy Officer. Unifii may need to verify identity before processing the request. Unifii should respond within a reasonable period and in accordance with the Privacy Act. In most cases, Unifii would not charge for making the request, although a reasonable access fee may be charged where permitted by law.
12. Complaints
If a person believes Unifii has breached the Privacy Act or mishandled personal information, that person may make a complaint by contacting the Privacy Officer.
The complainant should provide enough detail for Unifii to investigate, including contact details, the relevant facts, and the outcome sought.
Our complaint process is as follows:
- acknowledge receipt within 5 business days.
- ask for further information if needed.
- investigate and provide a written response, usually within 30 days or otherwise within a reasonable time.
- explain any corrective action that will be taken.
If the complainant is not satisfied with Unifii’s response, the complainant may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
